Somnia is an experimental short film that blends documentary, essayistic, and fictional elements. It begins with a real journey that gradually transforms into a symbolic and surreal narrative. The film follows the path of the Major Arcana of the Tarot as a story of inner and outer development. The protagonist, Manuel Baumer, traverses landscapes from the mountains of Tyrol to the coasts of Liguria, while his inner evolution is reflected in the film's visual language: from documentary clarity to an immersive, fantastical dreamlike visuals.
